A Heart for People
We believe every city, every county, every community needs a healthy church that will relationally carry the message of Jesus to everyone. While everyone is in need of Jesus, there are some areas that are in more need of a healthy, life-giving church than others.
We believe the areas in which there is the greatest need for churches can be traced back to two key factors:
The percentage of people with no religious affiliation.
The growth rate of that community.
The percentage of unchurched shows the need for a church, and the growth rate shows the likelihood of people looking for connection and community.
Areas that are green are in the most need for a healthy church (high growth rate, high unchurched), while areas that are grey have the lowest need comparitively (low growth rate, low unchurched). With the total scale going: green, yellow, orange, red, grey.
We highly encourage people to plant in the green areas, we think you should only plant in the grey areas with a definitive call, clear plan, and substantial resources.
